Olympic Torch carried by Fani Halkia who failed drug test at Beijing
Maybe this wasn't the best idea. The Olympic Torch is carried by an athlete who failed a drug test at the Olympics.
READ MORE:
The Olympic Torch relay for the 2010 Winter Olympics has begun and wouldn't you know it, but we already have a controversy.

That's because hurdler Fani Halkia, who ran one leg of the early relay in Greece, kind of has a history of cheating.

Halkia was banned for two years after testing positive for steroids at the Beijing Games, but since she also won a gold in Athens, the Greek Olympic Committee was happy to let that slide. I wonder how she won that gold in Athens in 2004....

Anyway, as you can guess, the International Olympic Committee was sort of not happy about all of this.

So yes, MLB may have a steroids problem, but it's got nothing on the Olympics.
