One Portland St. player in potential attempted murder case released, other player has unknown status

PSU player released from jail after incident that leaves man injured

Kyle Meagher

At first, it looked like both Portland State players Jeremiah Dominguez and Scott Morrison were due to be released from Mexican custody after their involvement in a vicious assault of a Michigan man outside of a Cabo San Lucas night club.  A reported $40,000 settlement deal (sources from The Oregonian said last night) was originally struck to release Morrison, but now, his status is unknown.  Meanwhile, Dominguez has since been released.

After reviewing the stories so far, it appears that Morrison is more to blame than Dominguez (or Mexico), as Oregonian columnist John Canzano writes.  But I'm guessing that young, drunken men were behaving badly that night, possibly including Kyle Meagher (pictured above from his MySpace page).
