It may not have been the worst win ever, but one thing's for sure, the end of that game sure was fugly for the Steelers until they sacked Daunte Culpepper on 3 straight plays to end the game.
The shocking part is their offense has started to come alive, but it's their DEFENSE that has looked vulnerable. I never thought I'd hear myself say this, but the offense for the Steelers is BETTER than the defense right now.
You can't be the same defense without Troy Polamalu. Offenses don't have to worry about him and you can go all the way back to the Titan game to see what Kerry Collins was able to do with TP out of the game. Without him, you don't have that dynamic and people can key on blocking Woodley and Harrison. I think it comes down to them closing games out and Tyrone Carter and Ryan Mundy are easier targets.
I agree the defense is out of sorts without Troy right now, but considering how they played last year while he was out, it's not an excuse for the drop off in play for the rest of the defense. That is more to blame on the coaching than anything, but it should improve a lot when Troy gets back.
Relax people it's just 5 games in.it don't get interesting till game 10 when they R all warmed up! hate it for mr. smith though but he still get's a RING!
