Orlando Magic beat Los Angeles Lakers 108-104
Magic squeek past the Lakers 108-104, officially giving us a series again.
After a blowout in Game 1, the Lakers/Magic series has actually been really exciting. Although, all that excitement would have meant nothing had the Magic lost tonight. But luckily, they didn't. Shooting nearly 63% from the field on the evening, the Magic just managed to hold off the Lakers by the score of 108-104.

So we officially have a series again. Who do you think will take Game 4? I can't imagine the Magic can play much better than they did tonight, and they barely won.

Technically it was 108-104, but that last second Kobe foul shouldn't have counted anyways.  And plus, it just let Orlando load up the confetti machine some more.  I guess 1 Finals win in 7 tries really is like winning it all...

they can play better. they didnt shoot that many three's and didnt play that much defense... they had spurts of it in clutch times yes but overall they didnt do a great job... it was an okay job and the same with the three point shooting.
the lakers shot 5% better this game than the other two games which they won. So why not talk about that at the same time? the lakers did not shoot poorly and it seems like you are implying that the magic barely won even though the lakers played terrible... both teams shot phenominal.

theres still hope i as confused it said 106 to 104 because it was officially 108-104 but its the same either way . 2-1 Lakers not 3-0

Because Orlando shot over 20% better than they did in either one of the first two games?

I'm not going to be ignorant and say the Magic have no chance, but based on everything thus far the series does look to be comfortably in the Lakers's control.

most of their shots were two pointers and was not affected by the three. the series could easily be 2-1 orlando. also orlando is a three point shooting team and they did not shoot as many as they usually do. remember the last two games where kobe is getting tired at the end and cant close out games at this point in the playoffs. you shouldnt be too comfortable. nobody should

But the series isn't 2-1 Orlando.  Thats the same nonsense Nuggets fans were saying last series.  Certainly Kobe is facing some exhaustion, but outside of the 4th quarter tonight it hasn't shown up in his performance on the court.  The Magic shot 20% better than any other game, had a great game from Rafer Alston and Mickael Pietrus.  The Lakers on the other hand had bad games from both Bynum and Odom.  Thats why guys like 100%, who in no way likes the Lakers, are saying that the Lakers are comfortably in control - because through three games they simply are.

Edit: Also, Orlando's shooting percentage tonight set an NBA Finals record.  Just saying.

I gotta agree with you. The Magic shot remarkably better in this game, and while yes, the Lakers shot slightly better than the previous two games, the fact that Bynum and Fisher didn't really show up makes me feel the Lakers still have a huge edge in this series. Plus, Orlando set a Finals RECORD by shooting 62.5% and they won by 4. I wouldn't be resting all that well if I were a Magic fan.

Well the Lakers had their chances, but this is why the Magic are in the Finals. They just did not show up in the Finals just for the hell of it. I just hope the Lakers can come out and play with the same passion they had after losses in earlier rounds, because if they don't then the Magic will put a foot in their @ss.

it took OT for a laker win in game two when orlando had 20 TO's 20.... thats terrible... but it took a missed layup for the lakers to win that game.

The Magic had to win that game. Now is the time that we will see what both teams are really made of.

The series could just as well be 3-0 the Lakers if you want to speculate. Regardless of what happens in Orlando, they still have to do the last two, not last one in Los Angeles. It is what they played all year for Home Court Advantage.

That is funny considering the Magic are the ones with a foot up the @ss. They had to win. The Lakers did not have to win, did not play their best and still damn near won. Orlando set a record for shooting percentage, killed the Lakers on the boards, Kobe had a poor second half and the Magic still damn near lost.
As a Laker fan and long time observer, I like my chances.

The truth is Orlando is lucky it is not 3-0. It is a game of luck as well as skill. We know that Orlando is good or they would not be in the finals. But if  you think a young upstart team is going to derail the team that got their hat handed to them in Boston a year ago and has dedicated the season to wining and being right where they are, you are mistaken. Kobe,  not Coby, (damn how can you be a fan and not know how to spell his name,) may not be superman but he will not allow his team to loose the series. BTW it is a series and the last two games are in Los Angeles. Did you see what happened to Denver?

kobe had nothing to do with last night or game 2... gasol won that game for them.... so how can you say "kobe wont allow it". orlando is not lucky the games are 3-0 lakers.... last nights game was nothing with luck and chance.... it was a great game by both teams SO STOP ACTING LIKE THE LAKERS PLAYED TERRIBLE.

First off i am not a fan! I have no  team in the NBA, that i like more then the next .Sorry i miss spelled your fans name!"  The truth is' I just seen what i watched ,and no matter what any one says Orlando did play and win that game in spite of Kobe You say he is great!' Maybe so but a great player don't lay down and let  a team win  Do they?
