Orlando Tuskers say that they could beat the Tampa Bay Buccaneers
Not even the UFL is showing respect for the Bucs. The Orlando Tuskers say they can beat them.

Michael Pittman used to play for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, and now he's in the UFL, playing for the Orlando Tuskers. The Tuskers are undefeated (3-0) so far, and the Bucs are... well... awful. But some of the Tuskers players are saying that they could actually beat the Bucs. Pittman is hesitant to say it himself, but he says that there are a lot of his teammates who would say that.

Do you think they have a chance? The Bucs are bad, but the UFL is made up of guys that the NFL didn't want at all. The Bucs could have their pick of anyone on the Tuskers roster right now, for dirt cheap... and they're not interested. I'm thinking the Bucs would crush them, but I'd love to see it happen, just out of curiosity.

I admire their moxie, but that really isn't a bold statement. Right about now, the ORLANDO MAGIC could beat the Artists Formerly Known As The Tampa Bay Buccaneers.

Depth would turn the game for the Buccaneers, the UFL roster is several guys smaller than the NFL's but it might be close until the 3rd.

Honestly?  The NFL would still take some of those players.

Sure, they're not stars.  They're guys who would rather start every down in a AAA league than be a fifth wide-out, a special teamer, a dime corner or a situational running back in the NFL.  They're guys who have injury histories or behavioral black spots on their records.

Would the Tuskers beat the Bucs?  Unlikely.  Nor the Skins or Titans.

But a team of UFL All-Stars?  I wouldn't bet against them.

I just hope the UFL can act as a compliment to the NFL and NCAA, take the iffy graudates who still want to try and prove they have NFL talent and give them time with lower-level NFL adversaries.  Give the guys who are only heading to college to get to the pros an alternative route - almost like trade school for ballin' (I know this might single-handedly destroy SEC football, but so be it).  Let guys who feel they still have gas in the tank that one last chance.

If Goodell, the league and the NFLPA know what's good for them, they'll help the UFL succeed.

Well there's a reason the Bucs players are in the NFL and the Tuskers players are in the UFL.  Even though the Bucs are really bad, I'm pretty sure they could curb stomp any UFL team.

It would be a competitive game if the Buccaneers just did their normal crap.
BUT, if they just ran the ball every down, the Tuskers would get rolled over. Too much talent on the TB OL and they would just rotate backs.
HOWEVAH, if the Tuskers responded by stacking the box with ten guys..it could stay interesting, especially if Freeman is making his first pro start.

I'd take the Tuskers and the points and make out like a bandit.
