The NFL owners voted Tuesday to put the 48th Super Bowl in the new Meadowlands Stadium that this season will become the home of the New York Giants and New York Jets. Normally, cold weather sites without a dome arent eligible to be apart of the selection process but this time around, the NFL made an exception for the New York area. New Jersey beat out warm weather cities, Miami and Tampa Bay in the final ballot to win the honor. 3 years ago in Tampa, the Super Bowl was played for the first time in the rain and depending on the weather in the northeast in January 2014, we could see the first Super Bowl played in the snow.
