PETA calls out Larry Bird for appearing in a McDonalds ad
PETA director and Celtics fan Dan Shannon said Bird, unlike the other players in the ad, should be sympathetic to the cause of the chickens killed for McChicken sandwiches.
"With the nagging back problems that plagued him throughout his career, Bird is the first person who should sympathize with the millions of chickens who are killed for McDonald's — chickens whose wings, legs and backs are routinely broken."
So apparently LeBron James and Dwight Howard being in the commercials is no big deal, but Larry Bird shouldn't. Riiiiight, thanks PETA.
