Paul Pierce says he's the best basketball player in the world. Hahahaha. Oh wait, he was serious? Sorry Paul, but LeBron, Tim, Kobe, and about 15 other guys might seriously disagree with you.

My perspective isn't one-sided. I didn't think the Patriots were the best team in the NFL when they beat the Rams in the Super Bowl... I thought that Mike Martz executed a poor game plan. You just choose to see my perspective as one-sided, because I disagree with you, and it's easier for you to claim that I am biased than it is to admit that you are wrong.
+5 thumbs upPat- You always, always, always, always, always (is that clear) back the Boston point of view.  You are incapable of seeing the big picture.  It's actually funny.  You're the prototypical homer.  Even with Colt Brennan of Hawaii (where you are stationed) you are blinded by truth.

It doesn't matter what the score was or when the Giants scored, they beat the Patriots when it mattered.  That's right, Eli Manning's team beat Tom Brady's team.  The Giants are the reigning champions aka the best team in the NFL.

For the record, I hate the Giants.  I have hated them (and the Redskins) most of my life.  That doesn't cloud my vision and make me incapable of saying and acknowledging that they are the best.  They are.  It's simple really...

+1 thumbs upThat's insane... it's like Giants fans trying to say that the Giants were the best team in the NFL last year. Just because you won the Finals MVP, doesn't mean you're the best player in the game.

+3 thumbs upThey were the best team. As a team they pulled it together and united to pull off an unforgettable playoff run and beat your patriots fair and square. They were better than the Patriots. It wasnt a fluke either they gave NE trouble during MNF a few weeks prior. Dont even try to take anything away from the Giants. I could careless about the Giants but I wont sit there and listen to someone bash them. Maybe it would be like Eli Manning saying he's the best QB in the league. Or Tyree claiming he's the best WR. Those are appropriate analogies. But I agree about Paul Pierce. He may be the best player in a wheel chair in a drama queen competition. I wonder if he'd be able to sign up for the Special Olympic basketball team... he can be in his wheel chair... perhaps its not special olympics but something else those athletes compete in... yall understand

+4 thumbs upUnless we're talking fantasy basketball, Paul is the best player right now. He proved he can dominate. Outplayed Lebron. Outplayed Kobe. In the playoffs. He done what need to do to back-up his claim.
That's just my opinion.

+1 thumbs upYou are going to say that I was "bashing" the Giants, and then you said that Paul Pierce should be in the Special Olympics? Wow... do we need to go over the definition of "perspective" again?

I said a 10-6 football team wasn't the best team in the NFL... you wondered if the NBA Finals MVP could sign up for the MVP. I'm going to go ahead and say that my comment was a little more "appropriate" ... or at least accurate.

First off i'll bash Paul Pierce for his pathetic display of over reacting. Second it was a joke. I think we need to discuss the meaning of sarcasm and then exhaggeration so you understand when they are being used in writing.

They were the best TEAM in the NFL. Remember the Patriots are in the AFC East Pat. Not the greatest competition in the NFL. NFC East had better teams as a whole. Half of those loses came form their own division 5 of the 6 came from NFC teams that were actually good. And one loss was from the Patriots by a mere 3 points. They were the best Team in the NFL because they won the entire thing. They dont have the best players but they work together as a team. I dont care if the NYG had a 1-18 record and just so happen to beat "the best team" in the big game (another example of exhaggeration). Still the best team. When it mattered they won. If the Patriots BLEW the NYG out week 17 then you have an arguement but they didnt. It was a three point game just like the SB but the SB decided the best team not week 17. Enjoy your pre ordered 19-0 shirt while it collects dust in your closet since the Patriots turned out to be the second best team in the NFL. Maurice Morris sends his regards.

The win against the Patriots was by a mere 3 points as well.

And your argument is seriously flawed. But I've blown this one out of the water several times on a ton of different polls... I don't need to thread-jack this one any more than we already have. You're way off base here... but whatever.

If the Giants were REALLY the best team in the league, they wouldn't have lost to teams like the Vikings. Fact.

+2 thumbs up

He is the best coming out of a wheel chair.

Paul you are a great player but you need to bring it down a notch.

#11 | 124 days ago

+3 thumbs upHe isn't even the best player on his team
#12 | 124 days ago

+1 thumbs upMaybe Mr. Pierce was just taking a "STAB" at the media...lol
#13 | 124 days ago

+1 thumbs upWell at least he wasnt on the other side of the blown 25 point lead. That is reserved for the current best player, according to the media that is.
