This is the hockey team for the high school of the town where my college is located. It's an excellent way to raise money for an issue that has touched so many people. For every power play goal the team scores this season, sponsors (who have already pledged) will give a donation to the Susan G Komen Breast Cancer Foundation. It's the 5th year for the event.

Well congrats to the Meadville High School Hockey Team. Our Jr. B Hockey team here in Sarnia the Legionnaires are wearing Pink warm-up jerseys for the pre-game skate for the whole month of October. During the month people are making silent bids on the jerseys and at the end of the month the highest bid on each jersey gets the jersey and all the money is going to breast cancer. The Sting are selling pink t-shirt and hats with the money going to Breast Cancer.
