Pete Carroll only offered head coaching job with Seahawks, not GM as well

Hold everything on Pete Carroll going to the Seahawks. Word is that Seattle has offered Carroll 5 years, $32.5 million to be just the head coach, not the coach and GM.

It's well known that Carroll wants complete control of an NFL team, and that was the only scenario in which he envisioned returning to the NFL. With the Seahawks not offering him that, one wonders if Carroll might head right back to USC.

It's also come out that Vikings D-coordinator Leslie Frazier, the presumed token Rooney Rule interview, is having a much longer interview than anyone ever expected. Maybe the Seahawks already know that Carroll won't be coming to town.
