Peter Gammons is leaving ESPN, to join the MLB Network

Peter Gammons, easily my favorite analyst of any sport, has decided to leave ESPN today for an opportunity at the MLB Network.

Gammons leaves after a 21-year run at the network, preceded by five years at Sports Illustrated and a long career at the Boston Globe.

This just gives me another reason to pay that extra $9.95 a month for the MLB Network..
