In probably the least surprising Hot Stove news you'll hear in the MLB postseason, the Philadelphia Phillies have decided to pick up Cliff Lee's $9M option for 2010.

This was almost a given, after the way Lee has pitched for the Phillies. It would actually be insane NOT to. The Phillies are getting a great deal for one more year of arguably the best pitcher in baseball. I'm guessing they'll spend the next year trying to figure out how they can lock this guy up to a long-term extension.
