Phillies win Game 5 of the World Series 8-6, Chase Utley ties World Series home run record

Chase Utley and Cliff Lee once again carry the Phillies to a win, and the Series heads back to New York.

Chase Utley had yet another 2-HR game, and tied Reggie Jackson with 5 HR in one World Series. Cliff Lee wasn't as great as he was in Game 1, but he still picked up the win for the Phillies, giving up 5 runs on 7 hits in 7 innings.

Game 6 will be on Wednesday night, featuring Pedro Martinez for the Phillies, against Andy Pettitte for the Yankees on 3 days rest. The Yankees are hoping that he pitches better than AJ Burnett did on short rest. Burnett only lasted 2+ innings, and gave up 6 runs on 4 hits and 4 walks. In good news, he'll probably be available in Game 7, if necessary.

0	i hope, they'll be different from the angels, that when they head back to new york, they lose. i hope they better perform again or else, their win today will just go to naught. they had better bowed down today than travel to new york only to lose. i cannot accept it. i can still accept if they lose in game 7.

Scary to think what the Phillies can do if Howard gets the bat going....somehow I doubt Utley will see any good pitches the rest of the series given his incredible numbers and Howard's incredible numbers...even if they are K's, it is pretty impressive, or depressing if you are a Phils fan...

I still think the Yanks are in control, but...we saw one struggling Phil come to life last night in Ibanez, what if Howard follows?
