Portland Trail Blazers trying to sign Hedo Tukoglu
Everyone wants the Orlando Magic's players. Now, the Trail Blazers are going after Hedo Turkoglu pretty aggressively.

First it was the Rockets targeting Marcin Gortat. Now, the Blazers are all about trying to convince Hedo Turkoglu to sign with them. By the time everyone is done pillaging, the Magic might not have anyone left.

I believe Turkoglu would be a great fit in Portland, and if Greg Oden can stay healthy, that would be a VERY scary team.

I bet even if Greg Oden is healthy he would suck.

I don't know - with Roy and Aldridge, Portland is already a freaking beast...you throw in Hedo and Oden and you have something to deal with...

I think he'd be a good fit in Portland too. With this and Houston courting Gortat the Magic had better get out the duct tape and try to hold their team together.

Who owns the Magic...?

Portland would be scary with Hedo, he was the most consistent and the go to player for the Magic in the playoffs.

This would definently make Portland a better team and give them a chance to be one of the best in the West.

I believe it was Ric Bucher (not completely sure though) who pointed out that Hedo needs the ball in his hand in the 4th quarter to be effective.  The Blazers already depend on Brandon Roy to do that.  They need a role player, not an All-Star like talent at the SF spot.

Even without a healthy Oden they would be a formidable force in the west. Plus Oden is not a strong offensive threat anyway. At this point in his career he is mainly a defensive presence and Portland was pretty strong defensively last year without him.

I think hedo is under rated he is almost as good as diwght you look at what he has done he took the magic on his back to the finals but could just not pull through

i would love if we could grab hedo, but would rather see ron artest in a portland jersey, he is a better defensive presence then hedo is, and that is what we need to improve on, we already have a great team, but either would help us so much

I'm a Turkoglu fan after the playoffs this year and with the off-season San Antonio has had, this signing would be another example of a great off-season for the Western Conference.

Um, if I'm not mistaken, Portland's big problem was defense. They're already an elite, elite offensive team. Why not sign a big defensive stopper like Artest or someone along those lines? Hedo doesn't solve anything. He's at his best with the ball in his hands, but so is Roy.

I give this an F.

Buss, Jerry Buss. The mouse has delegated all West Coast operations to his right hand duck, Donald.
P.S. Have you and Hedo got your bags packed for Portland yet?

Perhaps. He'll win a ring there though. He has next year to do it with Toronto because im sure Chris Bosh is sick of that city and not having any chance to win anything. If he wants to win it was a terrible choice. If he wants money then I think in the long run he made a bad choice as well. Get stuck on 11M a year for five years (until he retires probably) or 8.25M for 2 years, maybe get a ring and after those 2 years get around 16M for having a ring as part of the negotiations. Just my opinion.
