Priest Holmes went through a full practice Wednesday, a giant step toward what could be turning into one of the NFL's great comebacks.

Now 34 and out of football since suffering neck and spinal injuries two years ago, Holmes was cleared to practice for the first time since he shocked the Chiefs last summer and showed up at training camp.

It's quite the comeback he's made. You take a look at the guys who were at the top and the same age as him a few years back, Marshall Faulk and Curtis Martin, and they both had to retire because they became old and broken down. I think Priest just didn't want to go out like that, he wants to go out as a very good back. Granted, he likely doesn't have that talent anymore (and when he was great, he also had Roaf, Shields, and Richardson) but I hope he can be productive and end on top.
