Randy Moss has given up, according to Panthers defensive backs

According to some of the Panthers' defensive backs, Randy Moss might be regressing back to his old ways with the Raiders and his later years with the Vikings, where it appeared that he didn't care anymore.

Panthers CB Chris Gamble was pretty straight forward about it... he says that he and his teammates got in Moss' head early, and it was over, at that point for Moss.

"We knew he was going to shut it down. That’s what we wanted him to do . . . he’d just give up a lot - slow down, he’s not going deep, not trying to run a route. You can tell [by his] body language. I know everyone who plays against him, they can sense that. Once you get into him in the beginning of the game, he shuts it down a little bit."

If this is true, the Patriots' days of being a perennial AFC favorite are over. The Patriots are a pretty good team, but they're nowhere near the elite team that they have been over the past few years.

Randy Moss has been the catalyst in their offense, and has allowed his teammates to develop into stars. If he starts to shut it down in New England... forget about it. These Patriots are done.
