Red Sox will go after Adrian Gonzalez and Felix Hernandez.
Chad Finn makes the case that Theo Epstein will go after Adrian Gonzalez and/or Felix Hernandez this offseason. With an underwhelming 2010 free agent class--it's Bay, Holliday or bust--Theo may be forced to pursue trades to improve his aging team.

Does anyone think Theo can get either of these guys, both in their primes and sure to command a ridonkulous pricetag? Does anyone feel bad for Mike Lowell, who would be the odd man out should Theo fetch Adrian Gonzalez? I don't think Chad Finn will, seeing as he called Gonzalez, "essentially a lefthanded-hitting Albert Pujols," when hitting away from Petco Park.

I hope they do get Adrian, its a shame that he has to play at Petco, the guy has tremendous upside.

I was kind of hoping the Giants would make a deal for Gonzalez.  They do have a plethora of pitching prospects.  But I heard the Giants may be reluctant to give them up.

The Giants need a big bat like Gonzalez, they would be foolish not to make an attempt at him.

If they can swing it without mortgaging the farm, they should.  Although, I don't know what kind of money he will command.  Which could keep the Giants from making the move as well.

I think it's more feasible to get King Felix than A Gonzo and that being said I think Seattle would be less likely to give him up.

Really hope Seattle doesn't give up King Felix. He's a special talent and the M's can continue to build around him.

Though I realize you gotta break some eggs if you want to make an omelet.

we're not just gonna give away the best player we have had in a decade. besides if we hang on to him he will still be dirt cheap 2 more years.

The Bosox should get Adrian Gonzalez. Mike Lowell's career may be at an end, and Ortiz was terrible. Felix Hernandez? I think Seattle wants to hang on to him, but thats me.

If any team were to get him, it should be the Giants.  They need him far more than the Red Sox do.

Also, Gilligan is right.  I think the Padres would be insane to trade him at this point anyway.  At least wait until he is arbitration eligible!
