Red Wings offer Marian Hossa long-term contract

The Red Wings hope to continue the Marian Hossa curse for a few more years

The Red Wings have reportedly offered Marian Hossa a long term deal, in an effort to lose in the Stanley Cup Finals as many times as possible.

There's also some other interesting NHL free agency news in here, but the Hossa part is the most important. Whichever team he signs with, be sure to put money on them to win their conference final... but then lose the Stanley Cup.

1	As a Pens fan, I feel for the guy. All he had to do was not say why he signed with the Wings and there would be none of this heckling. He's a good guy who just choked at the wrong time. I'd welcome him back and take my chances with this power play: Crosby, Malkin, Hossa, Gonch and Letang, not to mention a top line of Hossa, Crosby, Guerin and a second line featuring Malkin!
