After the Dega debacle last weekend, all I can think is that if Dale was still here, these  boys might still be racing hard, the way they used to. When Dale Sr spoke, the powers that were, listened.
I found this today, and I hope ya'll enjoy it as much as I did!


SEASON 2 on the Q, had to make sure the Man started it with us!

This is for the one that could see the air,
That passed the cars, as if they weren't there.
This is for the one, we all wanted to be.
This one goes out to the black number 3.
You were the one, we thought couldn't die,
But you are up there with Neil, racing in the sky.
You were hated, you were loved, and all in between,
There's no denying, you were the best I've ever seen.
We have grieved for your kids, your wife, and your fans,
Tears still gather, when we fill up the stands.
Racing contuinues, it's what you wanted it to do,
Yet every race I find, I am still missing you.
So, here's to the Intimidator, the man they called Dale,
Who rattled so many cages, and entertained us so well.
Here's to 76 wins, trophies galore,
Exiting by window, not through a door.
Here's to the man, that so many held dear,
Should have had Championship #8 that year.
God waved the flag, and checkered you to heaven
He gave you that 8th, replacing all seven.
