Resdkins deny interest in Mike Shanahan
Mike Shanahan not replacing Jim Zorn says Washington Camp
READ MORE:
Rumors have been rampant about dissatisfacation with the coaching of Jim Zorn, and now new rumors have surfaced that the 'skins are interested in speaking with Mike Shanahan about taking over coaching responsibilities.

And, just as quickly, the Redskins have denied those rumors.

Do they protest too much?

The Redskins don't have a clue what they're doing. They do need to get rid of Zorn ASAP because this season is already gone and a new coach should get that much more time to learn his team.

The Redskins change things too quickly and that is part of their problem. I don't just blame Coach Zorn for what has happened. The Redskins need to quit signing so many veterans and draft some good young talent and develop them for years to come. Till they learn that, the Redskins won't be a consistent dynasty for a while.

Oh I absolutely believe the rumors, everytime I have ever built a $25,000,000 home, I have left also to take a job 2,500 miles away from it.  Any chance that he may be the next Colorado University football coach instead. HMMMMMMMMMMMM

So am I.  And on another note, wishing Shanahan would take over Steve Kragthorpe's responsibilities.

It'd be a really difficult transition if it were to happen.  Shanahan would want his own people and to work his own players into the system; basically he'd clean house.  Pretty difficult to do that and succeed in the middle of the season.  Snyder would be better off getting an interim coach from within the current staff and then explore Shanahan in the offseason (which for the Skins will probably be in January)

i agree. Shanahan and Jones r buddies. the Cowboys and Broncos play scrimmage games each preseason. they go to each others camps and have workouts. these 2 were able to develop a common bond and everyone should know, Jones wants Shanahan as his next coach. this guy could turn the 'Boys around. he would have a tough time in Washington. it may take a few seasons b4 u see an improvement over there. i don't think Zorn has to worry about losing his job to Shanahan. i think Phillips needs to worry. even Keyshawn Johnson brought this up yesterday on 'Sunday NFL Countdown'.

Nick Saban also said he wasnt going to be the Alabama Coach either. It is just somthing they have to say, cant really put any stock in it.

I hope he don't go to Washington, I thought he would have taken over in Dallas before the regular season

I think Shanahan would be a better pick for Dallas than for Washington.

I think the Redskins need to fire EVERYBODY and start over.  I'm sick of  watching my childhood team suffer through disappointment after disappointment.  I was against the Zorn hire on day one, I was against the Haynesworth signing on day one, and I was against the Snyder ownership after he signed Dana Stubblefield.

The guy plays fantasy football with real players, and he wonders why he can't win?

True and hopefully Zorn will pull a Campo and stay as a QB coach but they need to dumpo Cerrato and get a real GM, Campbell has all you want in a QB but he has not yet been a solid NFL system, if they'd stuck with Al Saunder's system for 3 years in a row you'd see Campbell in a whole new light.
