Last night, the New England Revolution snapped their six-game losing streak, defeating D.C. United at Gillette Stadium, 2-1. Taylor Twellman made his season debut last night. He had been out since last October. Twellman suffered injuries to his head and neck last season after being punched by a goalie while scoring on a header. He came in as a sub last night in the 25th minute for midfielder Jeff Larentowicz, who was shaken up after being smacked in the face with a ball. Larentowicz suffered a mild concussion.

Fred scored for D.C. United in the 36th minute of play. The Revolution's goals were scored by Shalrie Joseph off a header in the 55th minute and Steve Ralston on a penalty kick in the 90th minute. D.C.'s Bryan Namoff pulled New England's Taylor Twellman to the ground in the box, which resulted in Ralston's goal. There were many yellow cards issued last night, including those to New England defender Jay Heaps and D.C. keeper Josh Wicks.

New England's next game will be against a top rival, the New York Red Bulls, on June 7th at 6pm.
