Rodgers Hurting
All those sacks have caught up to Aaron Rodgers
Turns out all those sacks he's taking is finally catching up to Aaron Rodgers.  He is currently nursing a sprained toe and a sprained foot.  He is still expected to play and has been dealing with the sprained foot for a few weeks now.  Thankfully, the Buccaneers are up next.  They have sacked opposing QBs only 11 times this year, 3rd lowest in the NFL.  Hopefully that means Rodgers will be taking a minimal amount of hits this Sunday.

The blocking has been god awful. If good ol Teddy wants Rodgers to be a solid Favre replacement in the long run, he needs some protection and he needs it fast.

If they are just now catching up with him after the abuse he has took all season all I can say he is one tough SOB.

Before he became our starter, he actually got injured twice in the limited time he saw.  Once against New England and then again in Favre's last year against Dallas.  He ended up finishing both games and found out after them that he had season ending injuries.  He's a gamer and thankfully so far those injuries have stayed away.

I agree I would like to see what he is really capable of doing, all he needs is a better line and his hurries and time he spends on the ground would not happen as much. He has talent from what I have seen just needs time to get rid of the ball.

Sad to say, this felt inevitable. Playoffs or not, the main goal of the season might be keep Rodgers from serious injury.

A sprained toe and a sprained foot. Wow! As bad as the Buccaneersare this season ,I don't think Packer fans should be worried about Rodgers Sunday.

Our running game sucks, but those running plays are the only ones I don't cringe while watching because I know Rodgers is safe of those plays.  I'm not looking forward to what Pittsburgh and Baltimore are able to do with their blitz packages later in the year.

If A-Rodge had Favre's O-Line instead of the sheet of Swiss cheese he has in front of him, he would be putting up far better numbers than the football phoenix. The Packers had better make their O-Line their top priority this off-season if they want Rodgers to turn into the franchise QB he is capable of being.

:*( I am just going to head up to my room and cry for a bit.  I think my High school football teams (New Brighton Lions 0-9) offensive line might be able to hold up better.

Hit the nail on the head there! I think he's been impressive. He was his teams best player against the Vikings. He looks like a good one for years to come.

Clifton and Tauscher are expected to be back this week and I am hoping that it means a lot less sacks for Aaron. Now everyone on the O-Line can go back to the spots they're more comfortable with. Some of those sacks aren't just the O-line's fault though. I remember seeing a few times where Aaron could've thrown the ball away but he just took the sack instead. But things should get better from here on out.

I thought he was going to get knocked out the Minnesota game.  All things considered, I believe he's having an All-Pro season.

I knew aaron ridgers would be taking alot of hits this year. that why in my fantasy league I traded for McNabb to be my back up! Plus I got Kyle orton if needed. Hopefully not!!!

If the line is going to play like this this all year I would say that Rodgers should run more. But as much as he already get hit, I dont know if he could take that kinda punishment. But yeah it is kind of a surprise that it is only after 8 weeks that they finally hear that he is hurting.

There is absolutely NO WAY he can survive many more beatings like the one he received against the Vikings.

Anybody think this might have something to do with him holding the ball a bit long too? I mean, yes the line and running game are big issues but I don't think Rodgers has a quick release and that is getting him hit sometimes too.
