Ron Artest is seeing a sports psychologist
Breaking news: Ron Artest apparently has issues, and is seeing a sports psychologist
22
After working with a sports psychologist, Ron Artest says that he has made a lot of progress as a teammate:
"A couple years ago, I was a bad teammate. I'm trying to find the right answer, the logical answer, so my ego's not taking over and is not bigger than the team."

I'll admit that he has seemed more "normal" lately, but based on his Youtube videos, I'd say he still has a couple screws loose.

A couple years ago you were a bad teammate. Try the past ten seasons and probably this one too.

Right Artest! I'll believe it when I see it! That being said, is Artest watching Bob Newhart show reruns, When Bob plays a psychiatrist? I wouldnt be surprised if he starts another brawl at the Staples Center.

So Ron Artest recognizes he's crazy, taking the likelihood of an insane outburst down from 100% to 98.7%.

Only thing the rest of the league and their fans can hope is a down fall from artest. Phil Jackson wins his rings in a set of three's.

This is the 1st step to helping yourself. You have to admitt that there is a problem. You have to give him positive credit to own it and do something about it. Someone else could learn a lesson from Artest.

I just love that the Lakers players and management took it upon themselves to make 2010-11 an interesting season.  All they needed to do was lay low this off-season, sign Ariza and Odom, not have any key players marry a Kardashian (that had most recently been dating Rashad McCants) or get injured, and I don't think any team could beat them in a 7 game series.  I'm just waiting for Kobe to decide it would be smart to hole up in a Colorado hotel again after off-season surgery...

that's what I'm saying there's bad teammates in every sport who don't even try, considering the man is giving it a go that should show he CARES as a teammate and fans should show love and support.  It's okay for someone like AI to go all shatty on his team and not receive to much hate but Ron gets no love for trying.

As for that, the fan who threw that drink took it there.  Ron is mad hood and I love the dude but I'd venture to guess at that closeness and price range it may have been a white fan who threw that.  They don't understand a roughneck like Ron isn't going to take that like Derek Jeter or something.

Following Ron Artest on Twitter this summer was one of the more regrettable decisions I've made.  Dude is crazy.  I just hope they make it work on the court.

Nothing wrong with seeing a therapist - it should be mandatory.  All this high profile attention and MONEY can bring out the worst in the best people -- so it certainly intensifies the worst in the least mature.

we all have our challenges and "issues" to varying degrees... with that said let's all be a little more tolerant and supportive of a guy who's at least trying to get his under control... i'm pretty sure if the shoe were on the other foot many of those "so-called tough talkin' people" they would have a lot less to say... besides whether you give him props or not he's still gotta face his demons the best way he can... inspite of all we say... more power to the brother for trying!!..
