Rumor: New York Knicks would like to trade for Ricky Rubio
Word on the street is the Knicks are pushing hard to get Ricky Rubio in a post-draft trade
There was a lot of talk before the NBA Draft that the Knicks wanted to get their hands on Ricky Rubio. It made a lot of sense given Mike D'Antoni's love for pure point guards. Rubio of course was drafted by the Timberwolves, and is threatening to go back to Spain to play for another year or two.

The thought is Rubio is threatening this because he just doesn't want to play for the Timberwolves. But he might not have to. Word on the street is that the Knicks are going to try and get their hands on Rubio in a trade.

Rubio kind of looks like Rafael Nadal.. lol, No but seriously it is obvious he doesnt want to play for the Timberwolves.  Hopefully the Knicks pull him so he play in the league this year

Rubio looks like the Spanish Harry Potter and has the name of a Spanish pop singer.  But him in New York makes a lot of sense and would probably actually get him to come over from Spain to play in th U.S.  I hope for the sake of the league and the sake of his budding young career, that a trade is made.  Maybe a sign-and-trade involving David Lee and some other stuff thrown in and it would be a trade that makes sense for both teams.

I agree the deal makes perfect sense, I as a former New Yorker I hope it happens.  Rubio would become the Nash-light he can be under Dantoni.

Once a New Yorker, always a New Yorker

And yes, I agree.  Rubio would be the perfect fit for D'Antoni's offensive system, and I'm sure he was licking his chops after he dropped past #4.  I hope for the sake of the league and the sake of entertainment, a trade does happen where Rubio ends up in New York.

What a little p***y....please send him to the Knicks.  Just what they need...another high priced whiney wannabee.

You can now understand why they drafted Flynn. They don't have to deal Rubio since they have a future PG in Flynn, otherwise it was just Telfair on their roster. Unless they get a good deal, Rubio isn't going anywhere.
