People have been wondering if there were any updates about the status of Steelers safety Ryan Clark, who has the trait for sickle cell and became deathly ill following Pittsburgh's last trip to Mile High city back in 2007, well here's the latest. Doctors have cleared him to play, but Clark himself is still a bit skeptical. It's looking like a gametime decision on Monday night if you ask me. We'll see what happens, and we'll keep you updated with any new information on this situation.
I know everytime a player steps on the field, they are taking a chance but what Clark is going through adds on top of that. Why take a big chance with your life over one game? I say don't play
No u cant blame Clark and I dont think the Steelers would want him to play either but I think if this was more of a regular season game he would definitely play.
I wish Clark well, I have the same trait but it has never caused me any problems. I hope he can get back out there on the gridiron and cause some damage!!!...Good luck bro!!
Ryan Clark is a terrific team player for even considering playing under these circumstances. No one could fault him for choosing NOT to play under these circumstances and everyone would feel terrible if he plays and something goes wrong. The fact is that doctors aren't infallible and there are no guarantees. Only Ryan Clark can make this decision and I support him whatever he decides is right.
