Remember when Sammy Sosa was in front of Congress and he suddenly couldn't speak English? Well, he seems to have had no trouble in front of the press yesterday.

#1 \| 1251 days ago BestofChicago (+)	Maybe he has to explain it AGAIN. Or ill do it for him......... He doesnt know PERFECT english and he didnt want to say wrong things in front of the judge. Incase u dont know (obviously Sosa does) The court takes ur words and twists them around. By the way that was 3 years ago....... maybe people learn how to speak better when time goes by or not?

If Sosa didn't take performance enhancing drugs, then that would have been easy to tell congress. Since he didn't tell them that, we're led to assume it's not true.

My point was that his English used to be good, then suddenly it wasn't when he was in front of Congress, now it's good again. When you are testifying, you are supposed to give honest answers. You have no right to not say things just because they might get twisted around (though you do have 5th Amendment rights that would apply in a trial). The alleged language barrier was just an excuse to not speak the truth.
