Everyone knows the Giants desperately need some bats. Word is they're targeting Victor Martinez or Ryan Garko of the Indians.

The SF Giants sure looked good not that long ago. They headed into the All-Star break going 7-3 in their last 10 and seemed poised to make a run for the wild card in the second half of the season.

Then things fell apart. The Giants are 3-7 since the break and got their asses handed to them by the Pirates, Braves and Rockies, which is hardly murderers row. Everyone knows the Giants' huge weakness is hitting, and word is they're looking to the Indians for help.

Apparently Indians scouts have thoroughly scouted the Giants' system, meaning the two teams are talking. Word is that the Giants are probably targeting Victor Martinez or Ryan Garko. Would acquiring either of those guys help the surprising Giants continue their push for the wild card?

0	I'm a Tribe fan and I'd rather have the Giants get Garko rather than Victor. Garko has low market value; also the Dodgers are persuing Victor and Cliff Lee.
