Shawn Marion is the odd man out with Hedo Turkoglu set to become a Toronto Raptor. Marion could go to Portland.
Hedo Turkoglu going to the Raptors means there's no room for Shawn Marion. So where will he wind up? Portland is a good fit.
Early on during the NBA free agency bonanza, it looked like Hedo Turkoglu was headed to the Blazers and Shawn Marion would be staying with the Raptors. Marion even came to a verbal agreement with the Raptors for four-years, $34 million.

But then Turkoglu backed out on Portland, and is now going to sign with the Raptors barring some crazy last minute switch. The Raptors can't sign both Marion and Turkoglu, so Marion's now the odd man out.

Where will he wind up? Well, Portland is a pretty good fit, believe it or not.

Actually, the KNICKS would be the perfect fit.  Marion has profoundly sucked since his separation from Coach Mike D'Antoni. He is a system player, and he fits and plays best in D'Antoni's system.

If he was smart he'd sign a one year deal for the MLE with Cleveland.  That way they could actually contend for a title, and if it doesn't work out him, Shaq, and LeBron would all be leaving after this next season anyway.

Also Oklahoma City is young and talented, needs a wing scorer, a veteran presence and they have some cap room.

If Portland is the dude, does this make Marion the less attractive friend of the hot chick your friend snagged that you end up settling for?

Yes, I realize I just used an analogy where Hedo Turkoglu is a hot chick. [shiver]

I agree, Shawn Marion would be a perfect fit for the Cavs and LBJ and Shaq.

Maybe Shawn Marion should look to go back to the Miami Heat, they haven't been in the free agency hassle so there could be a possibility he might do that.

Yeah, I'd like to see the Matrix back on the same team with Nash and with all the bungling moves the suns have made lately it would be some good PR, in the short term, for Kerr if he were to bring Matrix back.

it would be great to see the Matrix come back home to Phoenix, but I don't think that will happen. Of course you never know.

The Suns, Cleveland, Miami could really use him but I would like to see him in Denver.

LeBron is staying in Cleveland.  Win or not.

I have a feeling he'll end back up in PHX.

I think he likes the Knicks.
