NCAAF, South Carolina Gamecocks, USC Trojans

Since it's all about the education anyway, USC wins a lawsuit against the other USC for... what, exactly?

In one of the more ridiculous stories I've heard in a while, the USC Trojans won a lawsuit against the USC Gamecocks for what essentially amounts to the rights to the letters S and C interlocking. It doesn't matter that the logos look nothing alike, or that SC is actually the initials for the entire state of South Carolina.

The University of Southern California is ruthless about this stuff... they even sued the Utah Southvalley Community Private School (USC) for a similar issue.

But it's all about the education, right?

Well - at least they sued us instead of sending OJ after us.

Didn't you know OJ is playing golf out there!

By the way I think they won the case because let's face, USC (University of Southern California) does interlock the letters way better!

So you guys did send OJ out here!!  Not nice.....

Honestly, they don't look anything alike, so I don't see how they won this thing.  I would TOTALLY agree if our logos were similar.  Southern Cal has been doing the interlocking thing much longer, but those two logos aren't even close.

I guess they had all those lawyers on hand to deal with the Reggie Bush fallout and Southern Cal decided to put them to work.

THE USC (University of South Carolina) has gone away from garnet and uses more of a red now.  So the colors aren't even the same.

At least we don't have to play them in football.  That would be ugly.  We could totally take them in baseball, though.

Poor South Carolina - they can't be "USC" or "SC" - that is Southern Cal, they can't be "Carolina" because that is UNC - guess they are stuck being the "Cocks"...
