I guess it's a culture thing.  In North American hockey, the players most often beat up an opponent and, when they win a title, they celebrate joyously with hugs, cigars, and perhaps even alcohol.  However, in Slovenia, you apparently do all those things and beat up your coach!

Mike Posma, an American who coaches the Acroni Jesenice team, was beaten up by six of his players after they won their league title Saturday.  He was cut and bruised, but not seriously injured.  All six players were released on Thursday and their actions were condemned by the team president.
