South Carolina Football: Gamecocks Extend Spurrier Through 2017
The Ol’ Ball Coach led his team to a second consecutive season with at least 10 wins, including impressive victories over then-ranked No. 5 Georgia and No. 11 Clemson.
"Our student-athletes are not only having tremendous success on the field, but also in the classroom. Coach Spurrier continues to take our program to heights never before reached at South Carolina, as is well-deserving of this contract extension."
South Carolina is currently ranked No. 10 in the latest BCS Standings and will face No. 18 Michigan in the Outback Bowl.
Spurrier, 67, was already under contract through 2015.
