Steve McNair killed in either double-homicide or murder-suicide. Questions abound.
The details surrounding Steve McNair's death are getting stranger and stranger.
It's been confirmed for a while now that the woman found dead in the apartment along with Steve McNair was not McNair's wife. McNair's wife was in Mississippi at the time of the shooting.

The woman at the shooting has been confirmed as a 20-year-old and described by CNN as McNair's girlfriend. The strange thing is it's unknown how exactly the case is being handled.

At first it was thought to be a murder-suicide. But now it looks like it could very well be a double-homicide or a double-homicide made to look like a murder-suicide.

Truly bizarre, and we'll have to wait for more to know what really happened.

This is unbelievable.  Truly.  McNair was always one of my favorite players.

I hope that he was not responsible for this tragedy and the police sort this out quickly.

Prayers to his wife and sons.

As a Houstonian, and life long Oilers fan,  my heart goes out to the McNair family.  Steve McNair played the game GOOD, and he played the game tough and with alot of heart!  Tough as nails that Steve McNair. He brought the Titans to their first Super Bowl (1999).  He didnt have the huge ego,  he was the quiet leader type.  He will be missed by many.   R.I.P. Steve McNair 1973-2009

I had a chance to scout him and having seen, Alan Hooker, Willie 'Satellite' Totten, Fred [the 1st Air] McNair and other HBCU QBs get short shrift, I was pleased that most scouts saw him as a QB though a few though he'd be a safety.  Beyond his physical gifts he had great leadership, toughness and tenacity.  I will be telling youngsters how good he was.  My thoughts and prayers are with the families of the deceased.

RIP . One of the first qbs I remember watching growing up.  If most people had half the heart steve did, the world would be a much better place. He played the game the right way. May god be with his family, his wife, and his kids.

It was recently announced on Sports Centre here that Air McNair had been short numerous times while the female had been shot once at close range and the weapon believed responsible had been found next to her.
My prayers are with the family.

I just seen this on ESPN and I am really sad to hear about this tragedy. I really do hope they find the piece of shit who did this and he gets the worst sentence possible. After a long night of drinking, I broke down in tears when I heard this. He was one of the few that I thought was one of the best as I was growing up and have always liked him. McNair was a great QB and I will always remember how great he really was. My thoughts and prayers go out to his family.

Not sure why that was PQd, or how it offended, but if it truly did, I apologize.  Most Houston Oilers fans were also fans of Steve McNair. We, too, will mourn his loss and say a prayer for his family.
