Steve Phillips is in rehab for sex addiction

Steve Phillips' agent says that Phillips is now receiving treatment for a sex addiction... one that has cost him his marriage, his job, and his dignity, at this point. Phillips is reportedly at a "secret facility" that specializes in treating this very thing. His agent described it a lot like one would describe treatment for alcoholism.

I was wondering how Phillips, a fairly handsome dude who should be able to draw a better class of woman, could be motivated to get involved with that ugly psycho. "Sex addiction" pretty much covers it.

Well, now we know that Phillips got a good lawyer.  By framing this as a "sickness" he has acknowledged what happened, while allowing for the client to appear as a sympathetic figure.
