He's already widely known as a terrible GM, and a mediocre baseball analyst on ESPN. Now, you can definitely add "crappy husband" to the list. His wife put up with him cheating on her for a while when he was the Mets GM, but after receiving a letter from an ESPN production assistant detailing her relationship with Phillips, she apparently decided that was the last straw, and is now divorcing him, but not before a ridiculous ordeal, in which the production assistant, 22-year old Brooke Hundley hand-delivered the letter to Marni Phillips, Steve's wife.

Here's the letter:

From what has been presented in the NY Post, it looks like Steve screwed up pretty bad, and the situation was compounded by the fact that Ms. Hundley is straight up crazy.

He has been suspended for a week from ESPN, and I'm sure we'll find out sooner or later where it will go from here.

1	Again, a sad case of poor judgment. As always, the kids end up suffering! I'm not even concerned about him and his silly job with ESPN. He can take that job along with crazy Brooke and go to HELL! I only wish Mrs Phillips and the children the very best. Unbelievable!!!

Well if we messed around it happens is it right no . But it happens they both are human it dose not matter what job the man has if he is going to go out on his wife it will happen !!!! The children are the ones who get hurt in a divorce the media does not help any thing he is under the bus now...Dont throw the kids along with the father .I dont know about the wife or i dont care either the kids are the only thing i worry about the media needs to back off......

1	First and foremost, if you are the mistress, never reach out to the wife. Even if you mean well, it is a bad idea. Instead of writing a letter deflecting blame then trying to make it seem it will be okay, just say, " your husband is cheating with me and my name is...." Leave it at that.

lol...I take offense to you associating this guy with the Mets. His time with the Mets is in the past...let's focus on the present and his future. He's an analyst for ESPN and he will be unemployed and broke in the future. Thanks!
