Super Bowl Bling
by Ryan
2/1/07

It's time for one team to shine.  Literally and figuratively.

I don't know why, but the whole concept of a championship ring has always fascinated me.  I can't get enough of them.  (ha ha - I wish)  I don't know if it's because I know if it's a forbidden thing (let's face it, I'm not "earning" a ring on any field in this lifetime) or if it's just the spectacle of it all.

Whatever it is, I've always been captivated by how these rings come about and what they look like.

Anyway, I found this feature on ESPN.com.  It's pretty cool.  They give details about each Super Bowl Champion team and its their rings.  They also have a video feature on Jostens, which has made most of the Super Bowl Rings (and probably most of our class rings).

I found it to be pretty interesting and thought I would pass it along.

Which one do you like best?

I thought the Steelers ring from this past year was pretty sweet looking.  Otherwise the Packer's rings for obvious reasons.

Even though my every instinct as an Eagles fan was to not vote for a Dallas ring, they had some cool ones!

I liked that ring, too.  The video on how they made it was pretty cool.  I think I ranked that one third or fourth.

SB XXX Dallas Cowboys ring is sweet. The year they beat Pittsburgh. The Pittsburgh from last year, Super Bowl XL, is nice too.
