Petr Sykora, who had been made a healthy scratch against Nashville by Wild coach Todd Richards, appears to have been motivated by that. He led the way by scoring a goal and assisted on another during the Wild's 3-2 victory over the New York Rangers Friday night at the Xcel Energy Center.
Sykora, one of three current NHL players to have scored 20 or more goals in 10 consecutive seasons, had his first two-point game since Jan. 28th. Marion Gaborik didn't play in his return to Minnesota, due to an injury(there's a surprise!!) Tonight, the Wild will try to get it's first road win of the year in Pittsburgh. The game will be on Fox Sports Net(for those of you who live here in the Midwest!)
