"Just shuffling some things around in practice, doing some of those things, just make sure everybody is on their toes," was head coach Tony Sparano's official comment to ESPN when asked why Ted Ginn Jr. was taken out of the first-string offense for Wednesday's practice.
The former top 10 draft pick had a rough game against the Saints this past Sunday catching just 2 balls for 16 yards and dropping 3 very catchable balls. One of those passes deflected into the hands of S Darren Sharper, which he returned 42 yards for a score.
"We'll see where we are at the end of the week. I'm just kind of upsetting the whole apple cart, and let's see how this thing goes. I don't want to say yes, I don't want to say no right now."
So far this year, Ginn has just 18 catches for 211 and 1 TD. He was replaced in practice by another former Buckeye, Brian Hartline who finished with 3 receptions for 94 yards in the loss to the Saints.
