Texas Rangers set a record against O's, wins rout 30-3

There is really no words to describe how bad the Rangers beat the snot out of the Baltimore Orioles in game 1. Just incredible. If you remember the remarkable 20-14 score with Minnesota and Chicago... this is more amazing. Texas had TWO innings in which they scored 9 runs. Unreal. The only other innings they scored were the 4th, in which they scored 5 runs, and the final inning in which they scored 6. Final score?

 

four Rangers had atleast 4 RBI, two players tying with 7 RBI. Six batters had at least 3 hits. UN... REAL.

'Nuff said. I did the research, and we have a new record! Most runs by one team in a game, "Modern Era" (after 1900): 30, Texas Rangers vs. Baltimore Orioles, Wednesday, August 22, 2007.

 

I think there is a delay for game 2 to start since this game lasted so long... the Rangers went WAY over 50 at-bats...

Freaking unreal... i watched this too... wow... i did the research a while ago, and the old "tied" record of 29 runs in a game (Boston Red Sox had the record), has now been beaten. 30 runs... i'm in awe... that is astonishing.

I didnt realize there was a NFL preseason game tonight, guess the Ravens decided to play with there 3rd and 4th stringers

My Brother told me Texas(I misheard Texans) was was beating beating baltimore 24-3 and was really surprised.  We were doing a fantasy draft at the time and I thought soooo...its preseason.  Then they told me it was baseball and I went whoaa!!!  Thats amazing and unreal I cant believe it happened.  16 runs in the final 2 innings.

Salty also had 2 HRs in the 8th inning. Vazquez had 2 as well. Ranger tallied 6 Hrs total I believe. May have to go back to the box scores and do more math.
