This isn't the first time that a clown has tried to take on MMA. Remember John McCain? Yeah, he's the funny looking old guy running for President. He called it "human cockfighting." But he also said that the US would stay in Iraq for 100 years if we had to (if he is elected, of course). Um...John, .... nevermind. He won't get it.

Basically, my point is that MMA is a sport that is here to stay. The sport has fans, and it has sponsors. It has good people, and it has everything that every other sport has. But it also has the attention of the audience, and fans are learning more and more and will write crap like this Shapiro piece off as exactly what it is: a meager attempt to try to be an old fart. Well, actually, he's a good old fart. That's why nobody reads his stuff.
