Michigan football took a beating last year and many of the loyal fans stayed patient and understood that Rich Rodriguez was in a tough situation with no quarterback...
With all due respect Ryan, i simply disagree.
To change the Michigan staff again, after only two years is a mistake.
Michigan will not, in my opinion, will not be able to finish in the Top 15 with a new staff for the third time since 2007.
Now, an i happy.? Absolutely not. It is terrible, and very embarrassing for the program.
I simply do not believe that the players on defense, with the exception of Brandon Graham, are capable of playing Big ten football...yes, that means i think they are not smart enough to understand simple defensive play calling.
That will only improve by recruiting players who Do understand, and WILL make plays.
Yes, the ultimate responsibility goes to the head coach, and I'm sure that Rich Rodriguez would say that he is responsible, but the simple fact is that this team is just not very smart, lacks leadership from it's seniors, who, by the way, are Seniors brought in by coach Carr's staff.
I am not happy about the current condition of the football program, and as unhappy as the next Michigan fan, but i am just not willing to blame coach Rodriguez...not yet.
Go Blue.!
