Ernie Harwell, long time broadcaster of the Detroit Tigers, has died at the age of 92.  Diagnosed in September with an inoperable cancer of the bile duct, Harwell was one of the last golden voices of baseball, right along in the same group as Harry Kalas, Jack Buck and Harry Caray.  Harwell was honored by the Baseball Hall of Fame in 1981 with the Ford C. Frick Award and in 1989, he was inducted into the National Sportscasters and Sportswriters Association Hall of Fame.
