What can possibly be said by a lifelong Detroit Lions fan that hasn't been said? Thes answer is--in 1989 the Packers drafted Tony Mandarich, the can't miss,mammouth left tackle fron Michigan State with the 3rd pick in the NFL Draft...the Lions got Barry Sanders..the Heisman Trophy Winner...not even the Lions could mess that up..so the Detroit Lions received the most evciting player in NFL History, along with one playoff win...and even though the Mandarich pick backfired, the Pack came up with Brett Favre, 17 straight wins over the Lions @ home, a Super Bowl Trophy in 1996, and continued regular season and playoff success.... the Detroit Lions dealt with the devil...and lost..0-16 is the price all Lions fans have paid for own lifelong devotion to this team, our team...we as Lions fans all know the soultion..new ownership..and that has to be step #1..steps #2 thru whatever will not matter until that first step is taken. One small baby step...back to glory..one small baby step.
