Jamie Skeen scored 26 points and VCU hit 12 three pointers to upset Kansas and earn a spot in the Final Four. Kansas came into this game with the most efficient offense left in the tourney but they couldnt buy a basket against the pesky Rams. In the meantime, VCU shot the lights out in the first half and built a lead as big as 18 points. In the second half, Kansas cut the lead down to 2 points but could never get over the hump. VCU responded with a run of their own, made the shots down the stretch and pulled off the 71-61 win. For the game, Kansas shot 34% from the field, 10% from 3 point range and 54% from the free throw line.
