Henry Winter of the Telegraph over in England has a solution for Thierry Henry's handball that cost Ireland a chance to play in the World Cup.

"So what should Fifa do? Simple. A cheat like Henry should not be allowed to attend the World Cup while honest souls like Shay Given, Robbie Keane, Damien Duff and Ireland's wonderful supporters stay at home."

He condemns Henry as a cheater, and even goes so far as to say that if Henry played, it would be damaging to FIFA as a while.

The problem is that it wasn't Henry's fault that his handball had such a huge impact on the game.

Yes, he touched the ball illegally.
Yes, it was part of the reason France scored a goal against Ireland.
Yes, that goal is basically what kept Ireland out of the World Cup.
But no, Henry is not the one who should be held responsible.

In the end, the referees are supposed to ensure that the rules are followed. If something like this happens, then it's their job to enforce the rules. Thierry's job is to help his team win. Fair or not, he did his job. The officials' jobs are to make sure the game is played correctly and fairly. They failed to do so.

Those officials should be suspended... not Thierry Henry.
