Tiger Woods has announced he will return to the game of golf for the Masters. He has now also sat down with the media for two interviews, the first on Golf Channel, and the second with ESPN.
In both of the interviews Tiger really didn't offer anything new, instead keeping all the sordid details to himself, and only acknowledging that the actions were his and his alone.
“It was hurtful, but then again, you know what? I did it. And I’m the one who did those things. And looking back on it now, with a more clear head, I get it. I can understand why people would say those things. Because you know what? It was disgusting behavior. It’s hard to believe that was me, looking back on it now.”
He also stated no one in his inner circle was aware of the transgressions, and if they had been, he has no doubt they would have tried to stop it.
Tiger has also acknowledged that although he is excited to get back to golf, he is also a little aprehensive, wondering about how he will be received.
“It would be nice to hear a couple claps here and there.”
I have no doubt Tiger will be welcomed back into the sport. He has shown us all he is human. He made mistakes and while we all talked about him and those mistakes non-stop for months, we also forgive and forget.
