Tim Ruskell scheduled to announce resignation Thursday morning
Scuttlebutt around the Pacific Northwest is that Mike Holmgren could be holding out for a front office job offer in Seattle. It's been said that the success of Ruskell's first year with the franchise - their only Super Bowl appearance - was largely due to the roster put together by Holmgren when he was managing the team prior to Ruskell's tenure.
Rumors have been circulating for several weeks, if not months, that Ruskell's contract would not be extended at the end of this season. Up until now, the Seahawks have been quiet, but now the public relations staff has stated that Ruskell will be announcing his resignation Thursday at 10:00am.
What does this mean? Obviously the team has been less than successful in recent years. Will they look to bring Holmgren back? If they do, is that a good idea?
