Titans LB Keith Bulluck says that Jeff Fisher had no choice but to start Vince Young
Keith Bulluck says what we all already knew: Jeff Fisher had no choice about his starting QB
26
If any of you didn't already know this, then you either haven't been paying attention, or you're just a bit naive. But either way, Keith Bulluck is spelling it out pretty clearly for everyone.

"Jeff is a great coach and does a lot of great things. But to me, the outside looking in, it looks like Jeff's hands were tied in this."

Yup... of course they were. This wasn't Fisher's call at all. Titans owner Bud Adams stated earlier this week that he thinks it's time to go with Vince Young... and then a few days later Fisher announces that Young will start on Sunday. Coincidence? I think not.

However, the Titans might not be thrilled with Bulluck coming out and stating it so bluntly to the media. Expect the team to react in some way, even if it's just a reprimand.

If Jeff Fisher's got no choice at QB, he's contracted "Mangini-itis". Just saying.

Outside looking in means it is just his opinion....not to point fingers persay...the goods teams from past are going south and the bad ones are stepping up. Reason? Everyone knows the schemes of each team and nothing has changed.

What many forget is Bud Adams owns The Titans.  The owner should be able to make decisions affecting his team.  I thought Terry Collins should have been benched at the start of the season.  Why pay a guy millions just to sit on the bench.  Jeff Fisher maybe a good coach, he is not a great coach. His team is 0 and 6. Nuff said

True, he owns the Titans. But as team owner you hire people to run the team. If you hired them to do their jobs, then let them. I agree that they need to see if VY is their QB of the future, but I can't say that I agree with Bud Adams pulling a Dan Snyder. Let the coaches coach, let the GM's GM, and the owners should own.

The owner should not be making THOSE decisions. That is the coach's job. If the owner doesn't have confidence in his coach, then maybe he needs to get a new coach. But when owners interfere with things like that, it never ends well.

Owner is  the one paying the coach. if it works the owner looks like he's knows what he is talking about. If it doesn't work..the coach has showed him up and should be  FIRED Immediately lmao

Well, Fisher should know what is best for the team and he should be the one who makes the called about who should start at QB and not the Owner. There are times I wonder if Fisher being naive about starting the other QB to get something going for the team. Or he didnt' want to be bother with the media asking so many lame question why the change at QB?  Well duh!!!  there is nothing offense out there on the field!! Casper can see that and he's is a ghost. I can see it this way as well, if the change of QB doesn't produce any points, then the media can blame the owner and not Fisher for the change.  but its clearly to me its the whole offense team is not doing and blast thing out there on the field. Fisher should fire everyone of those guys rear ends up!! Remind them their fans only can hold out only for so long before they start to wear brown paper bags over their heads and boooo them.

Who kidnapped the Titans and left behind these bums?  The thought of Vince Young freaking out again, does make the Titans game more interesting this week.

Vince Young is not the answer for the Titan's woes.  Even though they've struggled this year, Jeff Fisher did not all of a sudden become a ignorant coach.  He's the same guy who led this team to 14 wins last year right??  Also, despite being winless, you've heard ZERO grumblings from players about VY not getting to play....not even from the "anonymous" sources that usually accompany situations like this.  At the end of the day, players want to win and the fact that not ONE single player has come out and stood up for Vince tells me that there is a valid reason Jeff Fisher refused to play him.  If Tennessee wins....trust me.....it will be in spite of Vince.  Besides, he quit on them last year, a cardinal sin in a locker room.  And believe me when I tell you....players never forget.

I ask the same question but often I was wondering did they got lose during the off season? I wouldn't put V. Young back in the game, how he freak out when the fans boo him and he whine like a brat. First of all Vince that you need to makes some play, hit your targets to score some points. That is why you're the QB or you forgot your position. I would leave Collins in and kick some offense linemen rear to do their job or they will be looking some where else to play.

.....And that philosophy has truly paid dividends for Jerry Jones, Al Davis, and Dan Snyder as of late.

what you stated is so true! the problems that lies with the Titans is themselves. Not the Fisher, the players. And for young, I don't think he is ready to play at all. If they do put him in and he play poorly the fans will let him know and he better not cry like a baby in front of the media. The Titans have to get their mind back on winning football games and come back from a mental vacation.

So, you're saying that you would put in a QB can't hit his targets and move the team down the field to score. when the fans start to boo him for into the end zone to score and he cry like a brat in front of the media like a brat? If this million dollars QB can't get the job done it best to bench him butt until he get it in his mind to play the game that he was paid to play or start docking his check.

its sad but true that some people just can't learn from others mistakes.  Sure that Jones, Davis, and the new comer Snyder try to buy a Super Bowl Team. But that a huge finance risk, look at Atlanta Braves in baseball, only won a single world series. The only team that won more with over paid players are the Yankees (26 titles), maybe this what keep giving the owner hope.  What they should do get guys that really wants to play and play to win award them later and not sooner.

vince cant really throw on an NFL team
to much money in him for him to watch

another example like reggie bush
of a scouting department woooed by college film

the guy cant throw
thats the bottom line

shows just how many qb's you can win with
there are not many in the league

Jeff Fisher should  tell Bud Adams to stick it.  It would not surprise me to see Fisher move to another team next season.

doesn't make a difference they still make tons of money and the fans still spend it. Does it make dividends fo you if you don't follow the employee hand book?

That is so true Burnet44, there are plenty QB's look awesome while playing at college level and only a few that can play at the pro level. If the QB's can't adjust from college to pro then they should be switch to another position or just leave the game, period. There were a handful of top college picks of QBs that was a bust at the pro level. With Vince you're looking at another in the making, that is my opinion.

Dividends as in wins....And believe it or not, I honestly think all three are owners who truly want to win versus just making money. What do the patriots, steelers, and the colts have in common? Ownership that hires great coaches/front office personnel and allow them to do their jobs.
