According to Cable's ex-wife and a former girlfriend, he hit them while they were together over 20 years ago. His second wife claimed in 2008 documents that she was physically and mentally abused by Cable.  Some descriptive examples are included within the article. We can all get a good laugh out of him beating down his assistant coach, but beating women? That is unacceptable in my book, and is low. The raiders should fire him and get him some help.

 Just saw a little feature about this on Sunday NFL Countdown. Cable claims he's only hit a woman once and 20 years ago. He said he smacked his wife "open-fisted" when he got really angry and that he's really sorry about it. How come I don't believe a thing he's saying? Is he married now? Does he have a lady?

I totally understand the point you are making, and it is a very valid one. But Cable has not only one, but two women saying that he was abusive toward them. Then if you count the assistant coach that he allegedly pummeled, that makes three different people. Am I supposed to believe that all three of those people decided to conspire together to tell the same lie, because they as a group had some vendetta against Cable? I'm more inclined to believe that there is some truth to what each of them had to say.

i just shared something interesting i saw on ESPN. if you are correct, its a shame ESPN is actin biased against Cable, but as Don said, there is multiple people outwardly claiming heabused them, and im sure there ae others who haven't said anything yet, so something is going on here one wayor the other.

The NFL should fire someone for hitting women??? If they did that, they'd probably have trouble fielding full teams every Sunday. Most NFL players are basically violent males, many of whom are also macho misogynists.

Well, it's not as though the allegations "just came up". If you check into the story, you will find that allegations of abuse by the ex-wife were already present in the divorce papers from years ago. As far back as 1988, she got a protective order against him. So the fact is the allegations did not "just come up". You are asking everybody else to check their facts and hear the whole story, but you are unwilling to find out the facts yourself.
