Tomlinson Gives Tearful Farewell Conference in San Diego
READ MORE:

LT was rolling through all of his “thank yous” during his news conference on Wednesday in S.D... to the fans, to the community, to veterans like Junior Seau and Rodney Harrison who guided him as a rookie, and to all the coaches, trainers, and, most importantly, his family.

After about 4 minutes, an emotional L.T. couldn’t hold back the tears.

“It’s funny because I was all prepared, said I wasn’t going to do this,” said Tomlinson, wiping tears from his eyes. “Sometimes emotions is what makes a person. And as you guys know, I’ve always worn my emotions on my sleeve.”

Tomlinson was emphatic when he expressed his concern to remain a part of the San Diego Community still, but just not as a football player.  The guy has meant so much to the kids around here. He owns businesses in San Diego and owns a home in Poway, California.

Ladainian also re-iterated several times that he is still very hungry for a Championship. He also made a point to be honest telling fans and media that his #'s have gone down considerably since Marty Schottenheimer was fired, and that he definitely would never play for the Raiders.

He shed some tears, but he's no threat to take away T.O.'s endorsement deal.

Should he be able to overcome Owens, he'd still have to contend with Rex Ryan.

LT had a magnificent run and I think he's got something left in the tank, just not as a #1.  As great of a player as he's been, he's an even better person.  Guys like him are a breath of fresh air.  I'd love to see him in Chicago where he could run on the same field as his boyhood idol, Walter Payton.

Raider's players never cry when they're released, now he has to get a real job!

Raiders players don't cry when they get released because they are so happy to be out of the Raiders organization....They throw huge parties when they are let go...

Have fun going 4-12 again next season...

Yeah the Raider's also threw a few Superbowl victory parties too. Oh yeah did the Chargers win any Superbowls?  Let the tears flow Charger fans!

JaWalrus Russell will shed tears when he's let go.  He knows that Al Davis is the only moron that still believes in him.  When Al Davis gives up hope, he'll know his days of getting paid to suck and be fat are over.

I've never heard that one before....You're the only Raiders fan "EVAAAR" that has used the "BLAH, BLAH, BLAH...We have won a Super Bowl..."

I'm pretty sure 30 years ago you were only 16...A lot has happened in the World between 16 and 46 bro...And the Raiders winning a Super Bowl was not one of them...I was 10 years old last time they won it all...

But at least you guys made 1 in the last 30 years...I'll give you that!

Again, have fun going 4-12 for the 10th straight year....

That's what everyone has been saying and there's a real possibility of that happening IF he can be a part of a HB rotation.

It's sad when a player cares more about the organization than the organization cares about the player. But that's life, in all business, not just in the NFL.

That is by far the best way to explain this entire situation...Tomlinson has participated within the community more than any other professional athlete in San Diego other than Tony Gwynn. Is that not the type of commitment any NFL organization would want out of their "Marquee" player(s)?
