In yesterday's MLB action, history was made and broken for a pair of athletes who most casual fans dont know too much about.

In New York, Seattle Mariner's first baseman Casey Kotchman had his 274-game errorless streak, longest by a first baseman in MLB history, end in the 8th inning against the Yankees when he couldn't handle a groundball off the bat of Curtis Granderson.  Kotchman's last error was on June 20, 2008 when he was a member of the Atlanta Braves.

Later on that evening in Milwaukee, San Diego Padres slugger Matt Stairs broke Cliff Johnson's record for most career pinch hit homeruns when Stairs launched his 21st off Kameron Loe.
